Switzerland uses a single annual product for eligible vehicles under 3.5 t. The e-vignette registers your plate for the validity window that applies to the calendar year you purchase, alongside traditional adhesive discs.
Read the short country guide for travellers before you pay.
Pick the vehicle class (car, motorcycle, or trailer up to 3.5 t) pricing is the same annual product. Enter plate, email, confirm the summary, and pay. There is only one duration choice for this product.
The vignette does not include every Alpine crossing. Routes such as the Great St. Bernard or Munt la Schera may require an extra ticket. Read operators’ sites before you travel.
Swiss enforcement relies on plate reads. Double-check country and characters (for example O vs zero) before paying.
Expanded reference from national operator and roadside-marketing material: network coverage, exemptions, vehicle rules, flex-style services where mentioned, and list-price tables. Swiss pages also include separate tunnel and car-loading tables that are not covered by the annual vignette.
Swiss motorway tolls are administered by the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG). Since 1 August 2023 an e-vignette complements the classic adhesive disc at the same list price in Swiss francs. Motorways and national roads marked as toll roads require one valid annual product per eligible vehicle.
Toll roads use green-on-white signage. Separate tickets apply on some tunnels and Alpine crossings in addition to the annual vignette.
Cars, motorcycles, camper vans, trailers, and campers up to 3.5 t maximum authorised mass need the annual motorway vignette for the tolled network.
There is a single annual tariff per vehicle category under 3.5 t in CHF; marketing GBP used example 1.00 CHF = 0.95 £ (14/05/2026). The vignette cannot be bought retroactively. Validity window example for calendar year 2026: 1 December 2025 through 31 January 2027.
Independent sellers may add a service fee shown at the final checkout step.

Simplon, Lötschberg, and Furka car-loading tariffs for light vehicles appear in the tables below (weekday vs weekend splits where applicable).
Switzerland distinguishes performance-related heavy vehicle charge (LSVA Leistungsabhängige Schwerverkehrsabgabe) for goods vehicles generally above 3.5 t, based on weight, emission class, and distance driven; and lump-sum heavy vehicle charge (PSVA Pauschale Schwerverkehrsabgabe) for certain heavy passenger cars, heavy campervans and trailers, buses, and tractors that pay a flat fee rather than a pure performance tariff.
Annual vignettes are sold online, at border petrol stations, and via automobile clubs.
Checks occur at borders (customs staff) and inland by police and customs plate readers. Driving without a valid vignette can incur a fine of about 200 CHF (~183 £ in source copy) plus you must then purchase a valid annual vignette. Misuse of an annual vignette may lead to further fines or criminal proceedings.
No. Adhesive vignettes must not be removed once applied; removed discs become invalid. After a windscreen replacement you can obtain a replacement vignette by presenting the old disc per BAZG rules.

Answers about the Swiss annual e-vignette for vehicles and trailers up to 3.5 t, calendar validity, tunnels with separate tolls, and checkout.
Cars, motorcycles, camper vans, and trailers up to 3.5 t total weight using motorways and national roads marked as toll roads need a valid annual vignette. The e-vignette is the digital equivalent of the adhesive disc at the same list price in Swiss francs.
The annual vignette for calendar year 2026 is valid from 1 December 2025 through 31 January 2027, following Federal Customs and Border Security (BAZG) rules. There is no separate one-day or ten-day motorway vignette for light vehicles.
No. The general vignette is required for the open motorway network. Certain tunnels and Alpine crossings charge an additional special toll with their own tickets.
After payment you get email confirmation with your registration details. Carry it when travelling; police and customs may check plates at borders and on the network.
Swiss annual vignettes are not transferable between vehicles. Enter the plate you will actually use on Swiss motorways before completing checkout.
Card payments use a secure hosted checkout. This website does not store your full card number.
